Recently, the global analysis organization Omdia released the “Exceeding 100G Coherent Optical Equipment Market Share Report” for the fourth quarter of 2022. The report shows that in 2022, ZTE’s 200G port will continue its strong development trend in 2021, achieving the second place in global shipments and ranking first in growth rate. At the same time, the company’s 400G long haul ports are rapidly increasing in volume, and the year-on-year growth rate of shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022 will be the first.
In the era of computing, with the continuous deepening of the digital transformation of the entire industry, the rapid expansion of the scale of global data centers, and the rapid development of new services such as cloud computing and VR/AR, optical networks, as the cornerstone of computing power networks, are facing huge bandwidth challenge. Therefore, how to increase the speed of the optical network without reducing the distance and ensure the transmission performance of the optical network has become the focus of the entire industry chain.
In order to solve the above problems, ZTE has launched a super 100G Solution, which achieves higher system capacity of the network by increasing the baud rate, adopting high-order modulation, and spreading spectrum resources, and with the help of 3D silicon optical packaging technology and Flex Shaping 2.0 algorithm , realize the system can guarantee the transmission performance of the business while increasing the rate, and reduce the power consumption of the system, so as to meet the increasing bandwidth demand of the network.
Up to now, ZTE optical network products have been widely used in more than 100 countries around the world, and more than 600 100G/super 100G networks have been built, with a total construction mileage of more than 600,000 kilometers. Among them, ZTE will assist Turkey Mobile Turkcell to complete the industry’s first OTN network deployment with 12THz ultra-wideband spectrum evolution capability in Turkey’s fourth largest city Bursa in 2022, and assist China Mobile to complete the world’s first 400G QPSK live network in early 2023 The pilot project achieved ultra-high-speed transmission with a total length of 2,808 km. At the same time, it completed the world’s first terrestrial cable 5,616 km limit transmission, creating a 400G QPSK non-electric relay network transmission distance record.
Relying on leading technical capabilities and outstanding progress in innovative practices, ZTE’s large-capacity 400G ULH (Ultra-Long-Haul, ultra-long distance) transmission system won the Optical Communication Annual Innovation Award from Lightwave, a well-known global media in the field of optical networks, in February 2023. jackpot.
ZTE has always insisted on technological innovation and has continued to take root. In the future, ZTE is willing to join hands with industry chain partners to build a solid optical network foundation in the era of digital computing, further promote the evolution of the new generation of optical communication technology, and inject strong impetus into the development of the digital economy.
