Introduction & Features
EDFA is widely used in optical communication networks, especially for long-distance transmission. High-power EDFAs can amplify optical signals over long distances without degrading signal quality, making them essential components in high-speed networks. WDM EDFA technology allows multiple wavelengths to be amplified simultaneously, improving network efficiency and reducing costs. 1550nm EDFA is a common type of EDFA working at this wavelength and is widely used in optical fiber communication systems. By using EDFAs, optical signals can be amplified without demodulation and demodulation, making them a key technology for efficient and cost-effective optical communications.
This high-power EDFA is designed for use in CATV/FTTH/XPON networks and offers several flexibility and ease-of-use features. It can accommodate single or dual inputs and has a built-in optical switch to switch between them. Switching power supply can be controlled by buttons or network SNMP. The output power can be adjusted through the front panel or network SNMP and can be reduced by 6dBm for easy maintenance. The device can also have multiple output ports capable of WDM at 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm. Can be controlled remotely via RJ45 port with output contract and web manager options and can be updated using plug-in SNMP hardware. The device has dual hot-swappable power options that can provide 90V to 265V AC or -48V DC. JDSU or Ⅱ-Ⅵ pump laser is used, and the LED light indicates the working status.
