Description & Features
The term SOA1550 series EDFA refers to optical amplifier technology operating in the C-band of the spectrum (ie wavelength around 1550 nm). As an important part of the optical communication network, EDFA uses rare-earth-doped optical fiber amplifiers to amplify the weak optical signal passing through the optical fiber.
The SOA1550 series of EDFAs are designed to provide excellent optical performance with high-quality pump lasers(High-Performance JDSU or Ⅱ-Ⅵ Pump Laser) and Erbium-doped fiber components. Automatic power control (APC), automatic current control (ACC), and automatic temperature control (ATC) circuits ensure stable and reliable output power, which is essential to maintain optimal optical path index. The device is managed by a high-stability and high-precision microprocessor (MPU) to ensure optimum performance. Additionally, the device's thermal architecture design and heat dissipation have been optimized to ensure long-lasting reliability. SOA1550 series EDFA can monitor and manage multiple nodes conveniently through the RJ45 interface combined with TCP/IP network management function, and supports multiple redundant power supply configurations, increasing practicability and reliability.
The technology behind the SOA1550 series of EDFAs offers enormous benefits to the telecommunications industry by enabling faster and more efficient long-distance communications. Optical amplifiers such as the SOA1550 series EDFAs are widely used in submarine communication systems, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) access networks, optical switches and routers, and other similar applications. In addition, the SOA1550 series EDFA amplifiers are very energy efficient compared to conventional electronic repeaters. They require less power to amplify optical signals, reducing power consumption and operating costs.
In summary, the SOA1550 series EDFAs provide high-quality optical amplification with advanced features and support network management functions. The technology behind this product is revolutionizing the telecommunications industry by enabling faster and more efficient communications over long distances while reducing power consumption and operating costs.
